Identifying Marks: Imperial DEP Germany
Fair coloring on bisque head, brown sleep eyes, open mouth with four teeth. Platinum blonde, curled wig. Original slip and pantaloons, under hand made silk blouse and jumper, and replacement shoes. Hand and arms in good condition.
Made by the same company that made Santa in 1901.
Note: Hamburger and Co. was founded in 1889, as an American company that supplied dolls to American stores such as Strawbridge and Clothier. Hamburger used heads made by German companies. The firm closed in 1909.
